California Legislature to Vote on Medical Marijuana Laws

Cannabis Culture Magazine has a feature story on two pieces of legislature poised for a vote some time this month that would affect the state's million plus medical cannabis users. 

The two bills, which must be voted on this month, are SB129 (Leno) which would grant employment rights to medical marijuana users, and AB1017 (Ammiano) which would reduce penalties for marijuana cultivation.

The vote on SB129 will happen before January 20, possibly the week of January 16. Californians are urged to write their state senator today in support of this bill.

AB1017 will be voted on before January 27. Californians are asked to urge their state assembly member to support AB 1017.
